Mascots
Choose your companion, improve its bonuses and discover the Mascot Machine.
Your first companion
You start with Dex Racer, the default mascot with no stat bonuses. The other nine characters are unlocked through the Mascot Machine. Each has its own identity, rarity and bonus.

Dex Racer
Available from the start · No stats
- Click your mascot beside the HUD or open Activities → Mascots.
- The first tab shows your mascots; the second opens the machine.
- Click an unlocked character to equip it. The confirmed selection is highlighted in blue.
- Hover to see the name, rarity, level, progress and bonus.
Only one mascot is equipped at a time. Hiding its figure with the head-shaped shortcut does not remove its bonus. Switching or upgrading during a race affects future races formed afterward.
The nine mascots to collect

How to use the Mascot Machine
Each play consumes 1 DTR Coin from your in-game Inventory. It does not charge Credit, Scrap or Mastery.
- Open the Mascot Machine tab.
- Check the cost and how many local coins you have available.
- Click Play and watch the capsule and character you receive.
- Once the zoom-in and head wobble finish, you can click the background to dismiss the reveal.
| Rarity | Chance per play |
|---|---|
| COMMON | 75% |
| UNCOMMON | 20% |
| Rare | 5% |
The machine first rolls a rarity, then a character of that rarity with equal chances among them. Dex Racer is not in the pool. Your first copy unlocks the character but does not automatically equip it. Leaving the tab only ends the animation: a confirmed play keeps its reward and coin cost.
Duplicates and automatic upgrades
Extra copies fill the bar below the portrait. The corner badge shows the current level; the bar shows collected copies and the target. Reaching the target consumes those copies and automatically raises the level.
Collectible mascots have no configured maximum level. Progression continues through levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and beyond whenever you collect the required copies. The table below shows only the first examples, not a cap.
| To reach level | Extra copies for this upgrade |
|---|---|
| 2 | 10 |
| 3 | 20 |
| 4 | 40 |
| 5 | 80 |
After these examples, reaching level 6 requires 160 more copies, and level 7 requires 320 more. The target doubles with every upgrade. These are additional requirements, not totals since the first copy: unlocking a character does not fill its ten-copy bar. There is no upgrade button or extra upgrade fee.
| Bonus type | Level 1 | Gain per additional level |
|---|---|---|
| Vehicle stat | +1 point | +1 point |
| Credit or Mastery per race | +10% | +5 percentage points |
| Crate chance | +1 percentage point | +1 percentage point |
For example, Benny Brass gives +10% at level 1, +15% at level 2 and +20% at level 3. Rarity affects how often a character drops; the copy requirement follows the same curve for everyone.
The machine's currency
The Mascot Machine uses DTR Coin from your in-game Inventory. Find out how to obtain, store and trade the coin in the DTR Coin guide.
